Welcoming our new Engage to Change DFN Project SEARCH interns
In the last couple of weeks two new groups of Engage to Change DFN Project SEARCH interns have begun their journey on the programme in Wales through funding from Engage to Change. One of these groups is taking part at a familiar location – our site with host employer Cardiff University, first established last year in collaboration with ELITE Supported Employment and Cardiff & Vale College.
The second group is situated at our brand new site at Ysbyty Gwynedd, a collaboration between Engage to Change partners Agoriad Cyf, host employer Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, and educator Coleg Llandrillo Menai.
Interns will have the opportunity over the next three semesters to work at three different internships developing their skills, gaining experience, and growing their confidence and independence. Following the success of our first programme in Wales last year, we very much look forward to following the interns’ progress this year as we launch the new site in North Wales and move into the second year at Cardiff University.
We would like to extend a warm welcome to all the interns and wish them the best of luck for the coming year!
