A new DFN Project SEARCH year begins
As a new academic year begins, we welcome new cohorts at our DFN Project SEARCH sites in Cardiff and Bangor and celebrate the inaugural year of a new site in Bridgend.
- Following in the footsteps of our sites in Cardiff and Bangor, Bridgend College, ABMU Local Health Board and ELITE Supported Employment have been working hard in partnership behind the scenes to bring the programme to the Bridgend area. Eluned Morgan AM attended the launch at the Princess of Wales Hospital last week and praised the work that has gone into setting up this innovative project.
- Say hello to our new Cardiff cohort! The group are currently undergoing induction, after which they will embark upon their first internships at host employer Cardiff University with support from ELITE and Cardiff and Vale College.
- Welcome to the new class of interns in Bangor as begin our second year at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board! Our Lead Ambassador Gerraint has been meeting them.
As ever, we’ll follow the interns’ progress through the year as they gain invaluable skills and experience, meet new people, and develop increased levels of confidence and independence with the support of the project. Good luck everyone!
